As the Presbytery of the South West, we gathered at Stranraer Parish Church on Saturday 13th June 2026.

During the meeting, Mrs Gillian Lynn, who served as Moderator during the 2025–2026 session, handed over to the Rev Val Ott, who will serve as Moderator of Presbytery for the 2026–2027 session.

Val is the minister of Gatehouse and Borgue linked with Tarff and Twynholm. Presbytery expressed its thanks to Gillian for her service during the past year and offered its prayers and good wishes to Val as she begins her new role.

The meeting reflected the many different ways in which people across the Presbytery continue to offer their gifts in worship, ministry, mission, leadership and service.

As Presbytery enters a new session, we look forward with hope and continue to pray for the life and witness of congregations across the South West.
