
CROSSING TOGETHER Established in 2021, Crossing Together formed a new worshipping community with a view to connecting with unchurched and dechurched people groups in the Bourtreehill neighbourhood of Irvine. They have been highly successful in forging a ‘habitat’ where people can flourish. Their aim is to establish a sustainable fresh expression of church to support families & people of all ages. REACHOUT TOGETHER (normally shortened to Reachout) Reachout (established in 2021) seek to serve disabled people focusing on 3 themes: by raising churches awareness regarding disability & inclusion. By reaching out to the wider community to show disabled people that churches extend a welcome to everyone. They have been highly creative in reaching those who feel disconnected. The recent opening of The Shed as a space where people connect through woodworking is helping to extend their mission reach. THE WELL Formed in 2021 serves the region of Kilmarnock South by creating a witnessing and worshipping presence to creatively reach those who feel marginalised & disconnected. They have been highly creative in establishing a community space and resource working closely with partners that is adapted to serve local needs. The SW Presbytery is currently in the process of recruiting a new pioneer to continue the successful work of the former pioneer. | ![]() | |
MISSION FACILITATOR Brian Devlin serves the Presbytery of the South West in his role as Mission Facilitator. He has been working almost 2 years with a remit to support the work of the mission pioneers as line manager. In addition to this, he is exploring mission across the Presbytery by gathering information and undertaking research by which to encourage the development of mission and discipleship to serve and support local churches.
